Payment Options

Three payment plans are offered to accommodate the needs of Country School families. Every family makes a non-refundable deposit with the enrollment contract; the remainder of the tuition may then be paid in one of three ways:

  • One-Payment Plan: A 10% deposit is due with the enrollment contract. The balance is paid in one payment on or before August 1. Tuition Refund Insurance is optional.
  • Two-Payment Plan: A 10% deposit is due with the enrollment contract. The balance is paid in two equal installments, which are due on August 1 and February 1. Tuition Refund Insurance (1.65% of tuition, less any financial aid) is required.
  • Monthly Payment Plan: A 10% deposit is due with the enrollment contract. The balance of tuition is paid on a 10-month payment schedule from August 1 through May 1. Tuition Refund Insurance (1.65% of tuition, less any financial aid) is required. One-time administrative fee of $150.
This document details what is covered in the tuition refund insurance plan.

Affordability

The Country School believes in forging a partnership with parents in the education of their children. Families who enroll their children represent a broad spectrum of professions and incomes, and our varied payment plans help bring the benefits of a Country School education to many. Financial aid is also offered to those who demonstrate need.

All financial aid is awarded on the basis of need and the availability of financial aid funds. Thirty to forty percent of our families receive some financial aid each year. Financial aid awards are continued in subsequent years, so long as there remains a demonstrated need and funds are available. Families reapply each year in order to continue to receive financial aid.

The process of applying for financial aid is completely confidential and is the same for a new applicant or for a re-enrolling student.

The Country School now uses Clarity to determine the demonstrated need for financial aid. You can see more information about Clarity in the FAQs below. Click here to complete your application.

Financial aid awards are distributed on a first come, first served basis. It is strongly recommended that families apply for financial aid as soon as possible once the applications open. If you have submitted an enrollment application and indicated that you intend to apply, you will be included in an email letting you know as soon as applications open.

Should you have questions, please contact the Admissions Office.

Financial Aid FAQ

List of 9 items.

  • Why did The Country School choose Clarity?

We have chosen Clarity as our financial aid application provider in order to better serve both our current and prospective families. We are confident that this change is going to make the process of applying for financial aid easier for families.
  • How does Clarity make it easier for me to apply for financial aid?

Clarity offers a streamlined, mobile friendly application that can be completed in as short a time as 20 minutes. Additionally, Clarity removes the need to upload your W2 and 1040 by transferring them directly from the IRS. This reduces the amount of information that you will need to enter manually and makes it possible to complete the application quickly and efficiently.
  • How will this impact my award?

Just as in prior years, if your financial circumstances have not changed, you will not see significant changes to your award. If you have any questions about your individual circumstance, please reach out to us.
  • Is my information secure with Clarity?

The Country School takes the privacy and security of your personal information very seriously. Clarity is certified for both GDPR and SOC2 and uses enterprise-level security standards including end-to-end encryption of all personally identifiable information. For more information, please refer to **Clarity’s Privacy Policy.**
  • How do separated or divorced parents apply for financial assistance?

In the case of divorce or separation, the School requires both parents to complete the Clarity application and submit all tax returns and supporting documentation. Should a legal agreement exist regarding which parent pays educational expenses, this may exempt one parent from submitting financial information.
  • Is financial aid a component of the admission decision?

The Country School abides by a need-blind admissions process and does not consider financial need in the assessment of the applicant’s candidacy.
  • Can I complete my Clarity application on my phone or tablet?

Yes! Clarity’s application is fully mobile-friendly so you have access wherever you are.
  • I live outside the United States. Can I still apply for financial aid through Clarity?

Yes, along with the student's application, all families must fill out the Clarity application to the best of their ability including the Non-US Tax Filer Verification upload.

If you live in Canada, you will be prompted to upload your T1, T4 and Notice of Assessment.
  • Will I qualify for financial assistance?

Qualifying for financial aid is completely needs-based. The Country School's financial aid budget does not always allow for the admittance and funding of all qualified applicants. If an applicant qualified for an award but sufficient funds are not available, the applicant may be put on a wait list, should funds become available.
